Nick Locher ran for two touchdowns and
Shamari Morton added two as well as
Owensboro (Ky.) beat Owensboro Catholic (Owensboro, Ky.) 43-0 on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a Locher touchdown run in the first quarter, the Red Devils were up 28-0 at the half.
Owensboro expanded its lead to 36 points entering the fourth quarter. OHS scored two times in the third, including once on a touchdown run by Morton.
The victory will ease some of the sting of Owensboro's close 27-23 loss to the Aces last season.
The loss comes after Owensboro Catholic defeated Daviess County 37-13 last week. The loss ended Owensboro Catholic's two-game winning streak. With the win the Red Devils extended their winning streak to three games.
In a non-conference game next week Owensboro (3-0) takes on Bowling Green, and Owensboro Catholic (2-1) will go up against South Spencer also in a non-conference game.
