Leading by 28 points entering the fourth quarter didn't stop
Lincoln (Tallahassee, Fla.) from scoring, as it added 10 points in the final quarter on the way to a 45-7 victory over Buchholz (Gainesville, Fla.) on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a
Cameron Joseph touchdown run in the second quarter, the Trojans led 28-7 at the half.
Lincoln expanded its lead to 28 points entering the fourth quarter. LHS's lone score in the quarter came on a touchdown run by
Ben Robinson.
With the win the Tallahassee school extended its winning streak to five games. The Trojans defeated the Raiders 39-3 last week.
Lincoln's most effective player was Joseph. The senior quarterback threw one touchdown and ran for one touchdown. He has now scored three touchdowns on the season.
The Bobcats' lone touchdown came on a 5-yard pass in the second quarter.
Last season's game between the teams resulted in a 48-0 win for LHS.
The defeat comes as a step back for Buchholz, which notched a 27-12 victory over Santa Fe in its previous outing.
Buchholz (2-4) will play a non-conference game against Gainesville next week, while Lincoln (5-0) will take on Leon also in a non-conference game.
