Randolph-Clay moved up to 268 from 361 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in A Region 1. The Red Devils climbed the ranks as a result of a 42-6 win over Barbour County.
Baconton Charter was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from seventh to fifth in the league. Earlier in the week, Baconton Charter defeated Stewart County 40-13.
Mitchell County's dynamic duo of Bruce Bryant and Jaquan Williams proved tough for Miller County to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Bryant threw for 87 yards and Williams had 67 yards receiving. Kavoris Pollard helped Mitchell County's passing attack out by catching one ball for 26 yards.
Patrick McCarthy was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 18 carries, he ran for 215 yards as the Knights fell to the Pirates. Douglas Drake also contributed to the rushing game with 32 yards on the ground.
Terrell County's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Greenwave feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Jerkerious Scott has thrown for 265 yards and five touchdowns this season, while Osmond Lemons has 11 catches for 129 yards. Scott also leads the league in rushing with 560 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Seminole County takes on Terrell County. As it stands, the Indians are in fourth, while the Greenwave are in third.
Randolph-Clay took down the Jaguars 42-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.
