Chapin also got a significant boost from Joshua Martel, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 97 yards.

Chapin didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Singleton, Devon Harris, and Rivera picked up one apiece. Rivera is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made five or more in each of the last three games he's played dating back to last season.
Eastwood's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kingston Jeffries, who rushed for 118 yards and one score on only ten carries, and also threw for 168 yards and three TDs. Jeffries' longest rush was for an impressive 55 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Another back making a difference was Matthew Ramirez, who rushed for 127 yards and one touchdown while picking up 7.9 yards per carry.
Chapin's record now sits at 0-2. As for Eastwood, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
Chapin wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 49-20 win against Horizon on the 12th. As for Eastwood, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 30-12 victory against Odessa on the 12th.
