Pleasant has struggled recently with three losses in a row, while Whitehouse will arrive with four straight wins.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 73-36, which was the final score in Mt. Pleasant's tilt against Tyler on Friday. While losing is never fun, Mt. Pleasant can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 923rd, while Tyler is ranked 324th).
Meanwhile, Whitehouse scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 70-49 margin over Marshall.
Mt. Pleasant's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Whitehouse, their victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-4.
Mt. Pleasant was able to grind out a solid victory over Whitehouse in their previous matchup back in January, winning 39-26. Will Mt. Pleasant repeat their success, or does Whitehouse have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
