The Somerset Academy Losee Lions waltzed into their contest on Friday with three straight wins but they left with four. They breezed by Bonanza at home to the tune of 49-12. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 36-2.
Arianna Johnson was the offensive standout of the contest as she scored 29 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayla Lewis, who scored 14 points.
Somerset Academy Losee pushed their record up to 12-5 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Bonanza, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Somerset Academy Losee will take on Southeast Career Tech at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Southeast Career Tech focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 30 on Friday. As for Bonanza, they will head out on the road to square off against Amplus Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Amplus Academy is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
