After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Cornwall Central, The Goshen Central Gladiators were happy to have found some success on Friday. They blew past Wallkill 42-20. The high flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for Goshen Central's seven-point performance the matchup before.
Wallkill's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Chris Bartolone, who threw for 272 yards and three touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaden Brown, who picked up 118 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Goshen Central's win bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Wallkill, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.
Goshen Central will face off against Washingtonville at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Washingtonville will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. Wallkill will take on Kingston at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Kingston has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since September 2.
