Trinity Christian has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on the Orme Warriors at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Trinity Christian is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Warriors in Arizona (the Warriors are ranked 65th, while the Warriors are ranked 227th).
Even though Trinity Christian has not done well against the Warriors recently (they were 0-6 in their previous six matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Trinity Christian strolled past the Warriors with points to spare, taking the game 52-33.
Meanwhile, winning is just a little bit easier when you make five more threes than your opponent, a fact Orme proved on Thursday. They skirted past Verde Valley 43-41.
Preston Tisi and Bartek Kreglewski were among the main playmakers for Orme as the former scored 13 points along with four steals and the latter scored 18 points along with five rebounds and five steals. Kreglewski has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times he's played.
Trinity Christian is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season. As for Orme, their win bumped their record up to 8-6.
Everything came up roses for Trinity Christian against the Warriors in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 as the team secured a 69-38 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Trinity Christian since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
