Ashlea Ballangee, a senior setter for Bayshore Christian School, has been named the MaxPreps/AVCA Florida High School volleyball Player of the Week. She earned the award for her strong play in leading the Warriors to a 20-4 record thus far in the season, including seven straight victories and 14 of their last 15.
Through her last nine games, Ballangee has racked up 95 assists, helping the Bayshore Christian hitters to a .302 attack percentage. The 5-foot-9 floor general also shone defensively, racking up 10 blocks, six aces and 13 digs, while adding eight kills.
Bayshore Christian is coached by Melanie Humenansky.
