Colten Shaffer posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Monday. As a matter of fact, he produced his best game of the campaign: he struck out 14 batters over 5.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances.

Coming up, Shaffer and Annville-Cleona will welcome Middletown at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Blue Raiders will enter the matchup having just beaten Lancaster Catholic, so the Dutchmen will have to guard against a team looking to keep the ball rolling.
