After flying high against Hillside  last Friday, Chapel Hill came back down to earth. The Chapel Hill Tigers fell  13-10 to the East Chapel Hill Wildcats on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Chapel Hill of the  14-11 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in April of 2023.

Freeman  got on base  in all five of her plate appearances with four  RBI, two  runs,  and a  double, while  Steiner  went 2-for-4 with four  RBI, two  runs,  and two  doubles. Steiner has been hot recently, having posted four or more  RBI the last three times she's  played. Another player making a difference was  Lindsay White, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in all two of her plate appearances.
 Chapel Hill has  not been sharp recently as the team has  lost three of their last four games,  which put a noticeable dent in their 8-6 record  this season. As for East Chapel Hill, the  victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-5.

As for East Chapel Hill, they will look to defend their home field  on Wednesday against Southern Durham at 4:30  p.m. East Chapel Hill is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 11.8  runs per game  this season.
