They came out on top against Maclay by a score of 45-34. Despite the win, that was the fewest points Putnam Vo-Tech has scored all year.
Despite the loss, Maclay had strong showings from Nash Beshears, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and four steals, and George Grant, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Putnam Vo-Tech's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Maclay, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-15 record this season.
Putnam Vo-Tech will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Holyoke at 7:00 p.m. As for Maclay, Maclay and North Florida Christian will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 22nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Florida (North Florida Christian is ranked 464th, while Maclay is ranked 485th).
