Baseball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Thornton Academy

Thornton Academy entered their tilt with Scarborough on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Red Storm by a score of 9-4. That's more bragging rights for the Trojans, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Tyler Do made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over 6.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits (and not a single walk). He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.

In other batting news, Carter Moody was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Brayden Duane, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

Thornton Academy's record now sits at 5-2. As for Scarborough, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-3.
