The Clinton Cardinals suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Wednesday. They were dealt a 77-47 defeat at the hands of Summit Christian Academy. Clinton was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 49-18.
Max Rieger was his usual excellent self, scoring 17 points along with eight steals and seven assists for Summit Christian Academy. Rieger hasn't dropped below two steals for six straight games. Another player making a difference was Carter Jeffries, who scored 12 points along with four steals.
Clinton has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost nine of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-12 record this season. As for Summit Christian Academy, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-5.
Clinton will head out on the road to take on Pleasant Hill at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Summit Christian Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Butler at 5:30 p.m. Butler has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 216 points over their last three games.
