Faith Christian Academy's's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They were outmatched by Bible Baptist Christian at home and fell 65-30. Faith Christian Academy lost against Bible Baptist Christian in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 82-46 score last time.
Despite the loss, Faith Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: Hagen Williams scored 9 points. Williams scored a full 30% of Faith Christian Academy's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Riley Anderson, who scored 6 points.
Leading Bible Baptist Christian to victory were Beckham Jarrard and Alano Doreste. Jarrard scored 21 points along with 9 rebounds and 6 steals, while Doreste dropped a triple-double on 28 points, 15 rebounds, and 10 assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Perkins, who scored 7 points.
Faith Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Bible Baptist Christian, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.
Faith Christian Academy will head out on the road to face off against Screven Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bible Baptist Christian, they will be playing at home against Southside Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
