1A District 3 recap Sept. 26, 2012
Frankfort's Jalen Washington recorded the longest rushing play in 1A District 3 this season in his game against Lexington Christian last week. Washington ran for 68 yards on the play and finished with 82 on the day as his team defeated the Eagles.
Frankfort took down Lexington Christian 43-14 last week, the largest margin of any game. Chris Hawkins threw for 184 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 28 yards in the win.
Craig Foley's team's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Teantre McGee chipped in 117 yards. Washington helped Frankfort's passing attack out by catching five balls for 43 yards.
Aaron Jackson was the best wideout in the league this week as the Panthers topped Ray Graham 's team. Jackson racked up five receptions for 109 yards.
Frankfort's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Panthers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Hawkins has thrown for 1335 yards and 13 touchdowns this season, while Jackson has 29 catches for 733 yards. McGee leads the league in rushing with 382 yards.
Eminence and Berea played the most hotly contested game in 1A District 3 this week, with Eminence eventually emerging with a 38-36 victory.
