It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the San Marin Mustangs had no problem doing just that on Friday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 59-7 victory over Maria Carrillo. The win was just business as usual for San Marin, who after 12 games remain undefeated this season.
San Marin's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dominic Ingrassia, who threw for 143 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 passes. The team also got some help courtesy of Daniel Rolovich, who rushed for 52 yards and a touchdown.
San Marin has yet to lose a contest at home this season, leaving them with a 12-0 record. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 35.2 points. As for Maria Carrillo, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-6.
San Marin will face off against Acalanes at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Acalanes is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Maria Carrillo does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
