Matthew Lype of Loganville Christian Academy ran for the longest rushing play in Independent Christian of GA/AL - North this season against Covenant Christian Academy last week. Lype scampered for 93 yards on the play and finished with 218 on the day as his team defeated the Cougars.
Loganville Christian Academy extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Covenant Christian Academy, 48-14. The win marks eighth in a row for the Andre' King's team.
The Lions' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Snowden Nic threw for 125 and two touchdowns and Tyler Browning had 59 yards receiving. Josh Owen helped Loganville Christian Academy's passing attack out by catching five balls for 51 yards.
Owen made the biggest impact on defense this week as Loganville Christian Academy beat Robert Mccready's team. The sophomore pulled down one interception and recorded one fumble.
Loganville Christian Academy's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Lions feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Nic has thrown for 1094 yards and 14 touchdowns this season, while Browning has 32 catches for 421 yards. Lype leads the league in rushing with 1053 yards.
