The Evansville North Huskies's recent rough patch got a bit rougher  on Thursday after their fifth straight loss. They took a   60-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of Evansville Memorial. While losing is never fun, Evansville North can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings  (they are ranked 90th, while Evansville Memorial is ranked 24th).
 Evansville North lost  despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being   Maddy Knies, who  scored 14 points along with six  rebounds and three  steals.  Libby Blythe was another key contributor,  scoring 16 points.
 Evansville Memorial found their leader in underclassman  Rylee Canaan, who  scored 25 points along with seven  rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points  Canaan has scored all season. Another player making a difference was  Myla Browning, who  scored 11 points along with six  assists.
 Evansville North's loss dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Evansville Memorial, the  victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 18-3.
 Evansville North will be playing at home against Gibson Southern at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Gibson Southern has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,413 points over their last 21 contests. As for Evansville Memorial, they will head out on the road to  face off against  North Harrison at 1:30  p.m.  on Saturday. Hopefully North Harrison focused on turnovers this week  since the team gave up 13 last Tuesday.
