The Hickman County Bulldogs''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They fell 36-28 to Harpeth. Hickman County gained 155 more yards on the day, but it was Harpeth that made the best of use of them.
When it comes to explaining why Hickman County lost, one person who can't be blamed is Nathan Adler. Despite the final result, he rushed for 249 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.0 yards per carry.
Harpeth's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jatonio Sims, who rushed for 65 yards and two touchdowns. Blake Allison also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Another reason for the win was Harpeth's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. Hickman County's QB won't forget Grayson Miller anytime soon given Miller sacked him four times.
Hickman County has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season. As for Harpeth, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-6.
