Audubon is 8-2 against West Deptford since May of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Green Wave will head out to face off against the Eagles at 4:00 p.m. Audubon's pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so West Deptford's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Audubon is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to ten runs on Thursday, they were much more limited against Kingsway on Wednesday. They lost 11-0 to the Dragons. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Green Wave, who until this matchup were averaging three runs allowed.

Audubon saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emma Speyerer, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Speyerer is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season.
Meanwhile, West Deptford came tearing into Tuesday's game with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Red Raiders with a sharp 11-2 win. Considering the Eagles have won four contests by more than eight runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Sophie Jowett made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out 15 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. Jowett was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three RBI. Those hits were her first of the season.
In other batting news, Kaylee Morales was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three runs, two RBI, and one double. Joelle Kulnis was another key player, going 2-for-5 with three stolen bases and one run.
Having lost for the first time this season, Audubon fell to 3-1. As for West Deptford, their record is now 6-3-1.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Thursday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Audubon has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.8 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like West Deptford struggles in that department as they've been averaging 11.9 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
