In what's become a running theme this season, the Gallatin County Wildcats gave their fans yet another huge victory on Thursday. They breezed by Carroll County at home to the tune of 81-52. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Gallatin County.
Several Panthers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Braden Stephenson, who scored 13 points. Cooper Gutman was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with eight rebounds.
Even though they lost, Carroll County smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Gallatin County pushed their record up to 13-8 with that win, which was their third straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 78.0 points per game. As for Carroll County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-12.
Gallatin County will be playing at home against the Bears at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. Spencer County knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past six matches -- so hopefully the Wildcats like a good challenge. Carroll County's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Titans at 1:30 p.m. on February 3rd. Trinity Christian Academy is coming into the contest hot, having won their last five games.
