Baseball Recap: Hockinson Sets Scoring Season-High Against Hudson's Bay

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hockinson). They came out on top against the Hudson's Bay Eagles by a score of 12-8 on Wednesday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Hockinson got a big performance out of Skyler Liddie, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs and one double. Those three runs gave Liddie a new career-high. Easton Weber also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Hockinson always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .564. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Hockinson's win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-12. As for Hudson's Bay, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.

Hockinson will be playing in front of their home fans against Ridgefield at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Hudson's Bay has already played their next game (against Mark Morris), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
