Rockwell has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the Freedom Prep Academy Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Freedom Prep Academy took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Rockwell, who comes in off a win.
Last Friday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Rockwell beat St. Joseph 47-41.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Freedom Prep Academy, who are still winless after their fourth match. They were dealt a 47-19 loss at the hands of Maeser Prep Academy on Thursday. Freedom Prep Academy has not had much luck with Maeser Prep Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Freedom Prep Academy's loss came about despite a quality game from Zoie Stilwell, who scored 4 points along with 19 rebounds and 5 steals.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Freedom Prep Academy struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Maeser Prep Academy posted 11.
Rockwell's win lifted them to 3-2 while St. Joseph's defeat dropped them down to 0-3.
Rockwell took their victory against Freedom Prep Academy when the teams last played back in January by a conclusive 77-55. The rematch might be a little tougher for Rockwell since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
