Given Hillcrest's advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 115th, while Craigmont is ranked 378th), the result on Wednesday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Jordan Allen continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 42 points. The contest was his seventh in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Xavier Herron, who scored 27 points.
Hillcrest's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Craigmont, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hillcrest will take on Sheffield at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Craigmont, they will be playing at home against Overton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
