On Thursday, Mountain View Academy had to suffer through a rough 82-37 loss at the hands of The Nueva School.
Despite the defeat, Mountain View Academy had strong showings from Caleb Penaflorida, who scored 14 points, and Brennan Marques, who scored 8 points along with 6 rebounds. Penaflorida scored a full 37.8% of Mountain View Academy's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Mountain View Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for The Nueva School, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mountain View Academy will take on Mid-Peninsula at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Nueva School won't have much time to rest: their next match is against El Primero at 7:00 p.m. on December 1st. Hopefully El Primero focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 on Monday.
