The Wylie Prep Academy Patriots can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent game on Friday. They claimed a resounding 77-36 victory over Alcuin at home. The victory was familiar territory for Wylie Prep Academy who now have three in a row.
Wylie Prep Academy had a senior duo take command as Layton Gerhart scored 17 points along with eight assists and six rebounds and Aidan Steward scored 20 points along with five rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Steward has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Riley Peterson, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds.
Wylie Prep Academy's victory was their 15th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-4. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.1 points per game. As for Alcuin, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wylie Prep Academy the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Dallas International at 7:30 p.m. on January 26th. Dallas International comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 22 points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. As for Alcuin, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Garland Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Garland Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight on Friday.
