The Canton Warriors gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They strolled past Grasso Tech with points to spare, taking the game 64-50.
Defeat or not, Grasso Tech got some senior leadership from Charis Johnson who dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds and Nick Stavesky who scored 15 points along with six steals.
Canton's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Grasso Tech, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Canton will be home for the holidays to greet East Hampton at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Grasso Tech will be home for the holidays to greet Prince RVT at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Prince RVT focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 27 on Friday.
