Boerne-Champion was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight  defeat. They took  a  61-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pieper Warriors. The Chargers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Warriors earlier this season, when they won  52-45.
 Gavin Peck and  Logan Scott certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss.  Peck  went 9 for 18  en route to 24 points and five  boards, while  Scott  went 5 of 11  on his way to 13  points and three  steals.  Kane Lonsdale also deserves some recognition as  he  posted his first  block of the season.
 Even though they lost, Boerne-Champion  smashed the offensive glass and  finished the game with ten  offensive boards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pieper only pulled down one  offensive rebound.
 Pieper was led to victory by  PARKER GOLSCH and  MAYSON THOMAS.  GOLSCH  went 6 of 9 from beyond the arc on his way to 24 points, while  THOMAS  posted 17  points in addition to five  assists and five  rebounds. GOLSCH's evening made it three games in a row in which  he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of  PORTER JENSEN, who  scored six points.
Boerne-Champion's loss dropped their record down to 21-9. As for Pieper,  the  win made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 18-11.
 Boerne-Champion didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  match,  a  66-59  defeat against New Braunfels on the 28th. Pieper has also  already played their next contest,  a  59-49  victory against Alamo Heights on the 28th.
