Franklin Regional has gone a perfect 6-0 against Woodland Hills recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Panthers will welcome the Wolverines at 4:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Franklin Regional has four straight victories, Woodland Hills has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Franklin Regional barely beat Kiski Area the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Panthers never let the Cavaliers get on the board and left with an 8-0 win on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won three games by eight runs or more so far this season.

Franklin Regional got a great performance from James Templeton as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Those seven strikeouts gave Templeton a new career-high.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Chase Lemke, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of NJ Ramchandran, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2.
Franklin Regional was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .423. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Kiski Area only posted a batting average of .125.
Meanwhile, Woodland Hills fell victim to Canon-McMillan and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 17-0 to the Big Macs.
Woodland Hills saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was DeVaughn Earl-Hayden, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double.
Woodland Hills' defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Franklin Regional, their victory bumped their record up to 7-1.
Woodland Hills' pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Franklin Regional has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.9 hits per game. It's a different story for Woodland Hills, though, as they've been averaging 8.8 hits. Given Franklin Regional's sizable advantage in that area, the Wolverines will need to find a way to close that gap.
Franklin Regional beat Woodland Hills 3-0 in their previous matchup back in May of 2019. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Wolverines have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
