Having struggled with four losses in a row, Lake Norman Charter turned things around against East Rowan on Tuesday. They strolled past the Mustangs with points to spare, taking the game 69-50. That looming 69-50 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Knights yet this season.

Lake Norman Charter's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Langston Holder, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 17 points. Holder has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Braden Wilkie, who went 6 for 12 en route to 19 points.

Lake Norman Charter smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in four consecutive games.

Meanwhile, South Rowan was beaten by Carson 81-21 on Thursday. The matchup marked the Raiders' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

South Rowan dropped their record down to 1-13 with the defeat, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Lake Norman Charter, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-8.
