Lapel was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Shenandoah on Monday. The Bulldogs were the clear victors by a 25-1 margin over the Raiders. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by seven runs or more this season.

Eli Suchocki made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs and two RBI.

In other batting news, Rylie Hudson and Camden Novak did most of the damage at the plate: Hudson got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and three RBI, while Novak got on base in all five of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. What's more, Novak posted three hits, the most he's had since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was AJ Nunley, who went 2-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

Lapel hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Shenandoah struck out seven times.

Lapel's victory bumped their record up to 11-1. As for Shenandoah, their loss dropped their record down to 7-3.

Lapel and Shenandoah should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings. The Bulldogs (ranked 32nd) will meet University (ranked 128th) at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Shenandoah will challenge Daleville at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (74 vs. 256).
