Despite the loss, Rise Academy saw an underclassman step up: Lewis Mallory scored 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Trevonte Atkins, who scored 11 points.
Rise Academy has been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season. As for Collegiate, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-7.

As for Collegiate, they will head out on the road to square off against Trinity Episcopal at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Trinity Episcopal's favor as the squad sits on six straight wins at home while Collegiate has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.
