Indian Creek waltzed into their matchup on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They walked away with a 49-39 win over the Edgewood Mustangs. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Braves also won the last time the pair played back in February.

Indian Creek's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jasmine Day, who posted five points along with ten boards and five assists. Day has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. Ellie Oliver was another key player, going 6 for 13 on her way to 14 points and five rebounds.

Day wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Indian Creek was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Edgewood only racked up six assists.

When it comes to explaining why Edgewood lost, don't look at Macey Crider. Despite the final result, she almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Laroche, who had seven points.

Indian Creek is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.9 points per game. As for Edgewood, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-3.

Indian Creek didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 45-27 victory against North Putnam on the 21st. As for Edgewood, they will be taking part in a tournament against Mt. Vernon at 11:30 a.m. on Friday. Edgewood is facing Mt. Vernon at the right time seeing as Mt. Vernon is stuck on an 11-game losing streak.
