Hampton County and Barnwell are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2016, but not for long. The Hampton County Hurricanes will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against the Barnwell Warhorses at 6:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Hampton County suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Friday. They took a serious blow against Hilton Head Christian Academy, falling 65-38.
Meanwhile, Barnwell's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their sixth straight loss. Their tough 59-39 loss to Woodland might stick with them for a while.
Hampton County's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-7. As for Barnwell, they bumped their record down to 1-10 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road.
Hampton County strolled past Barnwell in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 by a score of 53-37. Will Hampton County repeat their success, or does Barnwell have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
