Vinal RVT is on a 16-game streak of home losses (dating back to last season), the Eagles a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. The Vinal RVT Hawks will take on the Grasso Tech Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Friday, Vinal RVT came up short against the Gladiators and fell 63-54. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Vinal RVT in their matchups with the Gladiators: they've now lost five in a row.
Meanwhile, Grasso Tech pushed their score all the way to 55 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 81-55 walloping at the hands of Windham RVT. Grasso Tech found out winning isn't easy when you don't work as a unit and post eight fewer assists than your opponent.
Grasso Tech's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Joseph Moore, who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds, and Charis Johnson who scored eight points along with 11 rebounds and six assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Moore has scored all season. Jerry Santiago was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Vinal RVT's defeat dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Grasso Tech, their loss dropped their record down to 8-7.
Vinal RVT came up short against the Eagles when the teams last played back in January, falling 68-57. Will Vinal RVT have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more basketball content.
