Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Frederick Gunn). They came out on top against the Kent School Lions by a score of 70-59 on Monday. The Highlanders' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Frederick Gunn to victory, but perhaps none more so than Justin Robinson, who went 8 for 12 on his way to 20 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jah Reaves, who posted 12 points.

Frederick Gunn smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in three consecutive matchups.

Frederick Gunn is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.8 points per game. As for Kent School, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Frederick Gunn will look to defend their home court on Friday against Trinity-Pawling School at 5:00 p.m. As for Kent School, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on St. Luke's at 2:30 p.m. on January 25th.
