The Campbell County Camels are ranked highly in their home state, and on Friday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of the Century Patriots. The matchup between the two teams wasn't particularly close, with Campbell County falling 66-48. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for them in their matchups with Century: they've now lost five in a row.
Several Camels players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Lane Hladky, who scored 13 points. Nate Williams was another key contributor, scoring five points along with eight rebounds.
Campbell County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Century, their win was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0.
Campbell County and Rock Springs will face off at 4:30 p.m. on December 9th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Century won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Thunder Basin at 4:30 p.m. on December 9th. Thunder Basin will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in their respective state's rankings (they are ranked 41st in Wyoming, while Century is ranked second in North Dakota).
