Baseball Recap: Caroline Has No Trouble Against Freeman

Caroline not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since May 13, 2024 (when they won 12-0). They put the hurt on the Freeman Mavericks with a sharp 11-1 win. This was payback for the Cavaliers, who suffered a 6-5 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Baylor Storke was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run and five RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeron Morris, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.

Caroline always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .567. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The victory got Caroline back to even at 5-5. As for Freeman, their loss dropped their record down to 8-3.

Coming up, Caroline is taking a road trip to take on Eastern View at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Cavaliers 3.3, the Cyclones 3) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Freeman, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against J.R. Tucker at 7:00 p.m. The Tigers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.25 runs per game on average), something the Mavericks will no doubt try to take advantage of.
