Baseball Recap: Mount de Sales Academy Takes a Loss

Mount de Sales Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-5 heartbreaker at the hands of the Westfield School Hornets. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cavaliers of the 1-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Mount de Sales Academy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was CJ Preyna, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double. Those RBI marked the first that Preyna brought in this season.

Mount de Sales Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Westfield School, the win got them back to even at 8-8.

Coincidentally, Mount de Sales Academy and Westfield School will both be playing Lakeside School the next time they take the field. The Cavaliers will head out to face the Chiefs at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Hornets will play them later in the day, at 2:00 p.m.
