The Moon Valley Rockets will be playing at home against the Glendale Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Moon Valley was able to grind out a solid win over Peoria, taking the game 21-10.
Moon Valley got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Coleton Carlson out in front who rushed for 40 yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, even though Youngker scored an imposing 31 points on Friday, Glendale still came out on top. Glendale took their game against Youngker 43-31.
Glendale had a senior duo take command as Zechariah Owens rushed for 227 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 12.6 yards per carry and Jesus Garcia gained 275 total yards and three touchdowns. Owens really tore up the turf during one magnificent 97-yard run.
Moon Valley's win was their third straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 4-5. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 32.7 points per game. As for Glendale, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.
Moon Valley was taken down by Glendale 48-18 in their previous meeting back in October of 2021. Can Moon Valley avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
