Even though the Central Bobcats have not done well against the Sierra Linda Bulldogs recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Central strolled past Sierra Linda with points to spare, taking the game 59-45. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Central also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
It was another big night for Lia Sims, who dropped a double-double on 41 points and ten rebounds. That makes it 18 consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Central's points. Another player making a difference was Shakeira Mosley, who scored five points along with seven rebounds and five steals.
Central's win bumped their record up to 7-11. As for Sierra Linda, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12.
Central will head out on the road to face off against Fairfax at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Sierra Linda won't have much time to rest: their next match is against North Canyon at 7:00 p.m. on January 12th.
