The Mater Academy Charter Lions's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They fell 54-47 to Westminster Christian. Mater Academy Charter was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Westminster Christian apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
When it comes to explaining why Mater Academy Charter lost, one person who can't be blamed is Solomon Leinbock. Despite the final result, he scored 17 points. Ethan Davis was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with seven assists and six rebounds.
Mater Academy Charter's defeat dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Westminster Christian, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mater Academy Charter will take on Doctors Charter at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Westminster Christian, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Ransom Everglades at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully Ransom Everglades focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 on Monday.
