Crowley waltzed into their match on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the Lake Charles College Prep Trailblazers as they made off with a 19-5 win. Considering the Gent have won six games by more than ten runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Erika Hebert made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over five innings while giving up five earned runs off five hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That triple was her first of the season.
In other batting news, Shailee Trahan was incredible, going 2-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one stolen base. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Zailey Smith, who scored three runs while going 3-for-4.
Crowley kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lake Charles College Prep only managed five hits.
