California - Division I (8 Man) Top Player Performances of the Week
Congratulations to this week's top players! We're covering the best performances from Friday's football action (using all statistics entered as of the time of writing). Enjoy!
Hayfork Wins 21st-Straight Thanks to Levi Cavalli
Levi Cavalli was instrumental in extending Hayfork's winning streak to 21 on Friday. Cavalli turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 175 yards and five touchdowns on only six carries. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his seventh straight game with at least 116 rushing yards dating back to last season.
Chester's probably not too fond of Cavalli given he always seems to get the better of them. Back in September (the last time Cavalli saw the Volcanoes), he rushed for 232 yards and four touchdowns on only six carries.

Burney Gets a Boost from Noah in 34-16 Win
Kyle Noah was a major factor in Burney's win over Plumas Charter on Friday. Noah turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 107 yards and three touchdowns, while also throwing for 84 yards and a touchdown on only eight passes. He also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, picking up a sack and making seven total tackles (2.0 for loss).
Unfortunately for Plumas Charter, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Noah. When Noah last faced the Warriors back in September, he rushed for 150 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.9 yards per carry, and also threw for 196 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 passes.

A Season-Best Performance from Anthony Loza Leads Tulelake over Loyalton
On Friday, Tulelake got the W thanks in part to Anthony Loza playing the best football he has all season. Loza rushed for 85 yards and a touchdown, and also picked up 55 receiving yards and a touchdown, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making five total tackles and defending two passes in addition to snagging an interception.
If the past is any indication, Loza could be in store for another big game when he takes on Chester on Friday. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Loza saw the Volcanoes), he picked up 144 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Xavier Silva Makes It Two for Tulelake
Keeping Loza company is Xavier Silva, a fellow Tulelake player. He rushed for 111 yards and a touchdown on only 13 carries, and also threw for 55 yards and a touchdown.

The Honkers got just the result they wanted when they last faced the Volcanoes, probably because Silva had a solid game then too: he threw for 150 yards and two touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes, and also rushed for 38 yards. Can he match (or beat) that performance?
