The Crosbyton Chiefs lost against the Whitharral Panthers back in February of 2016, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Crosbyton ended up on the wrong side of a rough 67-47 walloping at the hands of Whitharral. While losing is never fun, Crosbyton can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 747th, while Whitharral is ranked 357th).

The match was Sansom's seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nomar Gomez, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds.
Crosbyton's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Whitharral, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Crosbyton will take on Lockney at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Whitharral won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against All Saints Episcopal School at 7:30 p.m. on December 9th. All Saints Episcopal School is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road.
