The Maine East Blue Demons lost against the Maine West Warriors back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Maine East fell to Maine West 42-37.
When it comes to explaining why Maine East lost, one person who can't be blamed is Mariah Scott. Despite the final result, she scored 13 points along with seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Oyu Chinbat, who scored nine points.
Maine East's loss dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Maine West, they now have a winning record of 10-9.
Maine East won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against DeKalb at 4:30 p.m. on January 20th. As for Maine West, they will head out on the road to challenge Resurrection at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
