The Curtis Baptist Crusaders stacked a 13th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 45-17 victory over Our Lady of the Rosary on the road. The win was nothing new for Curtis Baptist as they're now sitting on eight straight.
Curtis Baptist found their leader in underclassman Maci Butler, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds. Butler has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last 13 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Bella Ramp, who scored nine points along with four steals and two blocks.
Curtis Baptist is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season. As for Our Lady of the Rosary, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-11.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Curtis Baptist will take on the CRUSADERS at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. South Aiken Baptist Christian comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 22 points in their last four games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Our Lady of the Rosary, they will stay at home for another game and welcome the Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on February 1st. Cambridge Academy presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Lions in South Carolina (the Cougars are ranked 130th, while the Lions are ranked 267th).
