Salmon River waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They blew past the Horseshoe Bend Mustangs, posting a 49-13 victory. The Savages have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 26 points or more this season.

Horseshoe Bend's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aubrey Penney, who posted four points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Ashlyn Wolsleben, who had three points and 11 rebounds.

Salmon River's win bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Horseshoe Bend, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.

Salmon River will challenge Tri-Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Tri-Valley will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Salmon River surely won't give up without a fight. Horseshoe Bend has already played their next game, a 41-32 win against Greenleaf Friends Academy on the 18th.
