After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Don Soffer Aventura, the Somerset Academy Central Miramar Warriors were happy to have found some success on Thursday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 56-21 victory over International Studies. With Somerset Academy Central Miramar ahead 34-11 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Somerset Academy Central Miramar to victory, but perhaps none more so than Joshua Petit, who scored 13 points along with 9 rebounds and 5 steals. Jayden Auguste was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 15 rebounds.
International Studies' lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Rafael Beltre, who scored 8 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Pahima, who scored 6 points.
Somerset Academy Central Miramar's victory bumped their record up to 1-2. As for International Studies, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
Somerset Academy Central Miramar will be playing at home against ABF Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. International Studies will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against Franklin Academy at 5:00 p.m. on December 6th.
